These are some examples from ICT specialist classes with Mrs B!
Race around the globe 2009. A mixture of old fashioned research with a twist. Students had to devise the clues and questions to work with Encarta Student premuim using the interactive globe, drop down menu links to article and the search facility. Students worked in pairs on their coountry. The earlier finisheres assisted Mrs B with creating videos and other media to add to this on screen game created using Microsoft Producer. Ideally suited for a PC lab and a projector/IWB. They take a little while to load all the associated files but its worth the wait.

Endangered Animals 2008
TV Endangered Animals Public Education messages. Design Brief Grade 5 and 6. Research an endangerd animal in collaboration with a friend. Collect a wide range of informaion from a variety of sources. Using the Six thinking hats approach identify the most important information under each category and portray this through a 30 second TV message to educate the public about the plight of this animal. Music and colour to be used to enhance the importance and pathos of the message. Programs: Windows Movie maker and all avaialable computer programs and resources. using narration capabilities of the program sometimes saving the movie with a music track and then rerecording a voice over. Audacity for voice overs and creating orginal mixed sound files with one or more voices and sounds . Converting file graphic file types to compatable files PNG, GIF or JPEG was required as well as file management over the four lesson. 50 mins x 4 . PLEASE EXCUSE THE ODD MISPELLING

YOU CAN DO IT! Design Brief Grade 3. Make your self a into hero character using your head and a clip art image. Team up with some other hero friends into a YOU CAN DO IT LEAGUE of HEROES. Use theses image as a central character to help another character/s to know about the principles of YOU CAN DO IT. Programs Powerpoint and assorted images using customanimation and sound recorder to attach sound files to animations. Characters collaged using MS PhotoDraw.
