In 2012, PLPS embarked on The Act of Kindness Award program.
The Act of Kindness Program celebrates the innate nature of human beings as kind, thoughtful and generous. It raises awareness of the power of being considerate to others whilst underpinning existing values programs being conducted in schools. It also provides an outstanding opportunity to develop co-operative partnerships between schools and the wider community.
PLPS students, staff, families and community members are openly invited to nominate someone in relation to an Act of Kindness. This as you can imagine can take upon many forms eg. consideration for others, politeness and courtesy, supporting a friend in need.
At the end of each week our Junior School Councillors will collate the nominations and one special recipient will be selected. The recipient will receive a certificate as a momento and their photograph will be added to an Act of Kindess 'Wall of Fame' in the Administration building for the remainder of the year.
